There's only one Bobby Rush. Honed and refined (or unrefined, depending on your point of view) through decades on the Chitlin' Circuit, his self-described "folk-funk" act has become a headlining attraction at festivals and events around the world. But this week we've got something a little different - Bobby Rush, stripped down and raw, backed only by Super Chikan on guitar, and singing his hits and telling the stories behind the songs. Bobby has a career-spanning box set titled Chicken Heads: A 50 Year History Of Bobby Rush coming out on November 27, on Omnivore Recordings. BSC contributor John Paul Keith will also be joining us to continue his series, Made In Memphis.
